Bariatric Surgery & Urinary Incontinence

American investigators suggest that bariatric surgery appears to substantially reduce urinary incontinence over 3 years among severely obese patients. Weight loss was independently related to urinary incontinence remission per 5% weight loss. Younger age and the absence of a severe walking limitation were also associated with remission of urinary incontinence.
