Diabetes Duration Tied to Ischemic Stroke Risk | News Brief

American research suggests that diabetes dura­tion appears to be independently associated with ischemic stroke after adjusting for risk factors. Among study participants with diabetes, the risk for stroke increased 3% each year and tripled when patients had diabetes for 10 years or longer.
