Endovascular Treatment Beneficial for Peripheral AVMs | News Brief

          0 votes

Endovascular treatment for patients with peripheral arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) appears to achieve good clinical results and has a low overall complication rate when these procedures are planned with consideration of anatomic extent and angiographic subtype of the AVM. With endovascular treatment, 39% of patients in a study were cured, but 52% showed a partial response of their AVM.

Abstract: Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology, November 2012.
