A study of adults at high risk for hepatitis B infection suggests that the majority of such people (51.4%) go unvaccinated for the virus. More than half also had a missed opportunity for vaccination. Those who were vaccinated against pneumonia and influenza and those tested for HIV at counseling and testing sites or drug treatment facilities had higher odds ratios of being vaccinated for hepatitis B when compared with those not vaccinated for influenza or pneumonia and not tested for HIV.
