Improving Pediatric Obesity Care

An intervention involving computerized clinical decision support for obesity management for clinicians and self-guided behavior change for families appears to improve BMI among children aged 6 to 12 with a BMI at the 95th percentile or higher. A study found that, when compared with usual care, the intervention resulted in substantially greater achievement of childhood obesity performance measures.
