Individuals who are overweight appear to be 20% more likely to report higher rates of pain when compared with people who are low-normal weight, according to a large national survey. When compared with the low-normal weight group, those in the low-obese group, moderate-obese group, and high-obese group reported 68%, 136%, and 254% higher rates of pain, respectively.
