AU is a not regular condition in babies and newborn children since they are indicating a resistant system which is functionally deficient. Epidemiological information report a commonness of AU going from 1% to 16.2%.2, 3 However, they don’t give precise and reliable indications for the infant since the data and information incorporate pediatric patients of various age group, regardless of the causes and clinical attributes of the AU are distinctive in infants , toddlers and children. Normal causes or triggers of AU in kids incorporate contaminations, susceptible reactions, physical stimuli, and fundamental diseases. Mild diseases, usually linked with drug therapy, have all the causes of being the most frequent reasons for AU in newborn children, as reported in over 40% of the cases. Therefore, functionally, the skin is predisposed to higher heat, transepidermal water loss, and drug and toxin absorption.A careful morphological examination of the lesions is essential to make the diagnosis and to differentiate the AU from other similar clinical pictures as acute hemorrhagic edema of infancy. As a conclusion we can say that, Urticaria/ angioedema is certainly not a life threatening disease in the newborn or babies. Although careful anamnestic evaluation and an accurate physical examination of the patients facing Urticaria/ angioedema are necessary.
