Assessing Medical Use of Cannabinoids

There appears to be moderate-quality evidence supporting cannabinoid use for treating chronic pain and spasticity, according to a review of 79 trials. Investigators also observed low-quality evidence suggesting that cannabinoids improved chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting, weight gain in patients with HIV, sleep disorders, and symptoms of Tourette syndrome.
