High Adiponectin Levels Increase Mortality in the Elderly


A small analysis from New York suggests that people with higher adiponectin levels appear to have greater all-cause mortality when compared with those who have lower levels. The highest adiponectin quartile was strongly associated with higher all-cause mortality when compared with the lowest quartile (hazard ratio, 4.0).
