There have been various studies that have been conducted in order to examine the quantities of the required and essential vitamins and minerals in American Adults. This study has been conducted in order to establish the nonintake of the required minerals and nutrients as the reason for increasing cases of diabetes among the people. The population of the United States of America has been taken into accord. Therefore, a total of 4074 people have been taken so far in the age group of 18-30 years. These people have been studied inside out. In other words, every detail about them has been studied in the best possible manner and an attempt is made to collate all the details about them with respect to their diets and illness record and ascertain if they are suffering from diabetes. The results after being recorded have been reduced to an average wherein an attempt is made to understand how much minerals and vitamins like fiber, vitamin B, and its types have been recorded. The results showcase that with an adequate or maybe less than a required diet of vitamins being consumed, the chances of diabetes have increased. It was also observed that those people who consumed adequate amounts of folate, had a lesser risk of being affected by diabetes. The reasons behind the same were related to insulin sensitivity and systematic inflammation.
