Internet Use, Anxiety, & Cardiomyopathy Risk

Study results indicate that patients with or at risk for cardiomyopathy appear to experience less anxiety when they the internet as a source of health information. Among the study patients, 85% used the internet to obtain non-specific information about health in general. Another 65% used it to search specifically for heart disease-related information. Online health information seeking was associated with substantially lower state anxiety levels.
