Abstract

A 10-year review of disseminated MAC infection and MAC-Immune Reconstitution Inflammatory Syndrome (IRIS) in HIV-positive patients (2004-2014) at a state-wide tertiary referral HIV service, demonstrates that despite advances in antiretroviral therapy, MAC infection remains a therapeutic challenge, particularly intra-abdominal disease.
