The National Lipid Association (NLA) Scientific Sessions 2025 take place from May 29 through June 1 in Miami. The agenda includes educational sessions on multiple topics, as well as symposia and lectureships.
Physician’s Weekly has compiled some highlights of sessions being held throughout the meeting.
Thursday, May 29
The NLA opening session, titled “Beyond Statins: Evolving Therapeutic Options for Dyslipidemia Management,” will include presentations on different inhibitors and the impact of glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) inhibitors on cardiometabolic health. Session chair Christie M. Ballantyne, MD, and co-chair Kaye-Eileen Willard, MD, will steer the discussion.
Friday, May 30
Friday’s agenda includes five sessions. Anne Goldberg, MD, will chair the late-breaking abstracts presentation. Friday also features a joint session from the European Atherosclerosis Society and the National Lipid Association, as well as a late-in-the-day presentation highlighting NLA publications.
Saturday, May 31
Saturday’s sessions begin with a presentation on risk stratification that includes discussions on imaging and prevention. It also features a session on the role of lifestyle and nutrition in managing cardiometabolic health. The final sessions on Saturday focus on award winners in both abstracts and young investigators.
Sunday, June 1
On Sunday, the last day of the meeting, two sessions are scheduled. The first focuses on hypertriglyceridemia, and the final session for the day is a series of case presentations. Case presentations will discuss omega-3 fatty acids, metabolic therapies for risk reduction, and more.
