Following on the heels of the redesign of physiciansweekly.com in March, sister site patienteducationcenter.org has been relaunched with a sleek new look and revamped structure. Intended to facilitate dialogue between physicians and their patients, the site now offers a multimedia online experience showcasing content provided by Harvard Medical School.
Patient Education Center wallboards and brochures have been fixtures in medical practices across the U.S. for years; the online counterpart complements those in-office resources with a library of timely, searchable health information. Health videos now accompany our popular, downloadable eBrochures, both housed in our eMedia Library. Daily Health Tips deliver timely advice, while our new Blog features the latest health news. Hundreds of Health Awareness articles, organized by condition/disease state, are accessible under Health A-Z, with related content, where available, displayed alongside.
We think we’re off to a good start, but there’s more to come. A weekly patient eNewsletter is in the works. We’re also lining up physicians and other medical professionals as guest bloggers,
to help guide patients in getting the best possible care and make them aware of the many new tools available to assist in that effort. (If you’re interested in contributing or have a suggestion for the site, please contact us.) The new patienteducationcenter.org (formerly patientedu.org) provides the authoritative information patients need to help manage their health and effectively communicate questions and concerns to their healthcare team. We hope you find it helpful as a supplemental source of health information and resources for your patients and staff as well.
