With the sudden outbreak of the novel coronavirus, there has been an increasing threat imposed over the existing medical industry. This is because of the reason that the medical industry of the entire world is still not in the position to develop a vaccine for curing the virus. However, with the spread of this virus, there has been an increase in the incidence of chronic health diseases and it has further aggravated the health conditions of the people who were already suffering from diseases like diabetes which are chronic in nature. There have been various studies conducted to ascertain the prevalence of conditions in patients with the lab-confirmed COVID-19. In other words, these studies aim to find out whether there is an increased risk for the people who have been already been tested positive for the novel coronavirus. This is because of the reason that the people are provided the best possible care in such situations. The results fo this study highlighted that compared with last years there was an increase of 40 percent in the proportion of the population getting infected by the chronic diseases after their reports from labs came positive concerning coronavirus. Therefore, every possible attempt must be made in order to cure them.
