Statin Discontinuation & Limited Life Expectancy


Discontinuing statin therapy in patients with limited life expectancy appears to be safe and beneficial, according to a study. When compared with patients who continued using statins, those who discontinued them had a similar mortality rate, better quality of life, fewer cardiovascular events, and greater cost savings.
