The people these days are becoming extremely health conscious. Therefore, an attempt is being made to conduct diabetes surveillance. These kinds of missions usually require a large amount of manual power and chart to confirm the reviews and status. Therefore, an attempt is made to collect data using electronic health records. This will help in improving efficiency and at the same time also ensure that the people are also provided with the easiest possible identification. Therefore, the population below the age of 20 was taken and an attempt was made to study the diabetes pattern in the minimum possible time. The investigators used various kinds of a rule-based algorithm for pouring in the substances in the minimum possible time. The results highlighted that in the population of the children, nearly 89 percent had the tendency to be diabetic of type 1. They were likely to have an increased amount of sensitivity and it was concluded that an ICD-10 algorithm, combined with the targeted chart reviews accurately identified diabetes status and the type and hence, could be an efficient choice for surveying diabetes in youth.
