Lipid levels among adults in the United States appear to have improved between 1988 and 2010, according to a cross-sectional data analysis. Average total cholesterol decreased from 206 mg/dL to 196 mg/dL. Average LDL-cholesterol dropped by 13 mg/dL, while average HDL-cholesterol increased.
