BERLIN (Reuters) – German healthcare group Fresenius on Friday said the financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic on its Helio Germany hospitals business in 2020 would be negative but not very significant if the outbreak largely subsided by the summer.

Fresenius said it had increased the number of intensive care beds at Helios Germany hospitals to more than 1,500 from 900 to help counter the coronavirus outbreak.

Helios Germany has adjusted shift models and postponed operations when medically justifiable, Fresenius said in a statement.
