Cervical varices are uncommon, yet they can cause severe maternal and perinatal morbidity. There is little data on the best way to treat bleeding caused by cervical varices during pregnancy. A 38-year-old lady was brought to the hospital at 16 weeks of gestation for vaginal bleeding associated with cervical varices and placenta previa. Without additional bleeding, a cervical pessary was inserted at 21 weeks of gestation. After pessary insertion, magnetic resonance imaging revealed variceal reduction, and a cesarean birth was done without problems at 36 weeks of gestation.

The cervical pessary should be regarded as a conservative approach for controlling the bleeding caused by cervical varices during pregnancy.
