The purpose of this study is to measure the risk factors for the complications in the surgery in neuromuscular scoliosis based on the patients with known comorbidities. Neuromuscular scoliosis has a large variety of pathologies that affect the neuromuscular system. The number of complications is huge and most of them are difficult to predict. Therefore to find them in and out of neuromuscular scoliosis based on our database between 2013 to 2017. The main criteria of the patients were the age should be below 25 years and they are under the diagnosis of neuromuscular scoliosis. The study was conducted with a total of 64 patients including 63% females and with an average age of 15 years. All of them were put under different radiological and clinical laboratory parameters for proper analyzing the situation.

As a result of the study, 44% of patients were found with complications and 46.9 percent among those complicated patients have major complications. Therefore the study has come to a computer conclusion that the complications in neuromuscular scoliosis increase if the patient has comorbidities. Sometimes it goes for or long surgeries and inadequate correction of the complication. Only preventive measures can reduce the complication.
