The mean incidence of high lung dose especially in breast cancer patients is likely to be linked with serious ailments like that of pneumonitis, pulmonary fibrosis, and secondary lung cancer primaries. This has been specifically understood by the means of various studies that have been made during the years of 2014 and 2018. There are various factors that have been linked with this outcome. The median mean lung dose from 2014-2018 was approximately linked with the quantum of 5.8 Gy for conventional and 3.5 Gy for hypofractionated radiotherapy. However, in an utter surprise, there was a substantial increase in the median MLD from 2014 and 2018 in both conventional and hyprofraticioned. However, there are many consequences and side effects of a higher dose of median MLD. this is basically linked with Wide Tangents, lower lung volume, boost, chest wall, and other conventional regions and organs of the body, wherein the higher median lung dose is said to have various side effects. Therefore, any person who was in the habit of using conventional radiotherapy was in the position to have at least a higher degree of median lung dose. Therefore, techniques like prone positioning must be used to lower the menace.
