FBSS or failed back surgery syndrome is a medical term that indicates low back pain after spine surgery without or with the radicular component. This study shows the etiology for FBSS. As this kind of incident is limited and the data that needs to be followed for the research should be retrieved from the previous studies. This problem orcas for 10 to 40% of patients after their spine surgery with or without any fusion or radicular components. The etiology of FBSS is not understood completely. It can possibly be multifactorial and the factors could be divided into three parts as preoperative, operative, and post-operative.

Devaluation of this method should be done after reviewing the patients with FBSS symptoms after the spine surgery. The study needs a Thorough clinical examination with whole body x-ray, magnetic resonance imaging, and computed tomography to get a better and appropriate result in terms of finding the difficulty of the patient. That leads to an accurate diagnosis of FBSS. In case of disc herniation and post-operative in the balance of the spine the patient needs to be kept in extra care and special attention to avoid the risk factor.
