Smoking Linked to Cognitive Decline


Middle-aged male smokers appear to experience declines in global cognition and executive function more quickly than never smokers, according to European research. Cognitive decline in long-term ex-smokers was similar to that seen in never smokers. Smoking status was not associated with cognition among women.
