To commemorate the twentieth anniversary, the AAO proudly unveiled a new name for its iconic fundraising event: The Orbital 2023: Gold Rush (formerly the Orbital Gala). Many aspects of the event have changed over the years, but it continues to be the Foundation’s premiere celebration.
Attendees reconnect with old friends, make new ones, and most importantly support the Academy programs. The Orbital 2023: Gold Rush theme celebrates the return of the AAO to California at San Francisco’s iconic Westin St. Francis Hotel on Sun., Nov. 5. Dress in your most elegant party attire.
This year’s Orbital Honorees are philanthropists and Academy leaders David and Molly Pyott. The AAO will also toast the Academy’s 2023 Artemis Award recipient selected by the Senior Ophthalmologist Committee.
